TODO: CREATE PICTURE WITH EXTENDED SESSION

This simple indicator demonstrates how to use session-related methods, particularly the is_first_in_regular_session , is_last_in_regular_session and is_same_period functions. These methods are useful for identifying key moments within a trading session, such as the opening or closing of regular trading hours.

Highlights:

  • is_first_in_regular_session
Detects the first bar of the regular trading session.
  • is_last_in_regular_session
Identifies the last bar of the regular trading session.
  • is_same_period
Ensures accurate detection of session changes by comparing two timestamps. This function helps identify the very first bar of a session by checking whether the current bar and the previous bar belong to the same session period. If they do not, it means the current bar is the start of a new session.
