# Automate TakeProfit Alerts via WunderTrading

Alert-based automation is available through integration with WunderTrading. You can send TakeProfit alerts via webhooks to automatically execute trades in WunderTrading.

This setup enables a fully automated workflow — from signal generation in TakeProfit to order execution in WunderTrading.

The process runs in two halves. First you build a Signal Bot in WunderTrading, which hands you a webhook URL and one message per trading action. Then you create TakeProfit alerts that post those messages to that URL.

## Step 1. Open Signal Bot and create a bot

1. Open WunderTrading
2. Go to **Signal Bot** under **Trading Bots**
3. Click **Create Bot**

The bot is built in three steps — **Settings**, **Alerts** and **Start**.

## Step 2. Settings

Name the bot, then open **Bot start condition** and select **TakeProfit.com**.

WunderTrading lists TakeProfit.com as a start condition of its own, so the bot accepts your TakeProfit webhooks directly. You no longer need to pick **Other**.

Fill in the rest of the step:

* **Exchange accounts** — the account the bot trades on
* **Pairs** — the trading pair
* **Timeframe** — set it to the timeframe of the TakeProfit chart your alerts come from
* **Entries** — amount per trade and order type

Click **Continue**.

## Step 3. Alerts

This step gives you everything TakeProfit needs:

* The **WebHook URL** — `https://wtalerts.com/bot/take_profit_com`
* A message for each action: **Enter Long**, **Exit Long**, **Partial Exit Long**, **Enter Short**, **Exit Short**, **Partial Exit Short**, and **Exit All**

Each message already carries the exchange, pair, bot name, timeframe and bot ID, so copy them exactly as they are. Then click **I have set my alert!**

> [!NOTE]
>
> You can reopen this step from the bot's row at any time — every message goes into a separate TakeProfit alert, so you will come back to it.

## Step 4. Start

On the final step the bot is ready to receive signals. Leave **Enter Position Now** off unless you want to open a position straight away, then click **Done**.

***

## Step 5. Create an Alert in TakeProfit

![](https://mintcdn.com/takeprofit-a5dc0462/9TXR2gCtPupeNjy_/images/guide/alerts/wundertrading/Webhooks_WunderTrading_4.png?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=9TXR2gCtPupeNjy_\&q=85\&s=c0b2c6bcaf5eb6f1a3ece4657c3966c7)

1. Open your chart in TakeProfit
2. Make sure your indicator or strategy is active
3. Click **Create Alert** and set the condition that should trigger the trade

The **Webhook** and **Message** fields at the bottom of the dialog are the ones that drive WunderTrading. By default **Message** holds placeholder chips such as `TICKER`, `EXCHANGE` and `CONDITION_TYPE` — you will replace these.

***

## Step 6. Set the Webhook and the Message

![](https://mintcdn.com/takeprofit-a5dc0462/9TXR2gCtPupeNjy_/images/guide/alerts/wundertrading/Webhooks_WunderTrading_5.png?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=9TXR2gCtPupeNjy_\&q=85\&s=bb71efab82ed21d50855f694beb9e91a)

In the **Webhook or WunderTrading** field, set the URL to `https://wtalerts.com/bot/take_profit_com`.

In the **Message** field, clear the default placeholders and paste one message copied from WunderTrading.

> [!WARNING]
>
> Paste the message on its own. WunderTrading matches it exactly, and the **Ping** button sends the Message text as-is without substituting placeholders — so any chip left in the field is sent literally and the signal is rejected.

Click **Create Alert**.

***

## Step 7. Create One Alert per Action

Each action needs its own alert with its own message:

* Long Entry → **Enter Long** message
* Long Exit → **Exit Long** message
* Short Entry → **Enter Short** message
* Short Exit → **Exit Short** message

Repeat Steps 5 and 6 for each one, changing only the trigger condition and the message. All of them use the same webhook URL.

***

## Step 8. Check That the Signal Arrives

![](https://mintcdn.com/takeprofit-a5dc0462/9TXR2gCtPupeNjy_/images/guide/alerts/wundertrading/Webhooks_WunderTrading_6.png?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=9TXR2gCtPupeNjy_\&q=85\&s=2d223b4b18d471ab20957783e66ec791)

Use **Ping** on the alert to send a test request, then open the bot's log in WunderTrading to see how the signal was handled:

* **Completed** — the signal was accepted. Check the **Positions** tab for the resulting position.
* **Declined** — the signal arrived but was not acted on. WunderTrading gives the reason in **Comment**; the usual causes are a signal that conflicts with the previous one (an exit with nothing open, or a second entry in the same direction) and a signal type your WunderTrading subscription does not cover.

A declined signal still reached the bot, so the webhook and message are wired correctly — the problem is the signal itself or the plan.

## Important Notes

* Always verify that the **Exit message in TakeProfit matches the Close command in WunderTrading**
* Incorrect mapping may result in **open (orphaned) positions**
* Double-check all messages before activating alerts
* Recreate your TakeProfit alerts if you change the bot's pair, timeframe or name in WunderTrading — the message carries those values and a stale one no longer matches
